I love my Cross pen, and when I needed a refill I discovered that ONLY Cross refills will fit, and I tried a LOT. Now, they’re perfectly fine, but I think it’s kind of sneaky on the part of Cross, though a clever marketing strategy. Maybe there are a few off-brands that will work, but I haven’t found one. That’s OK because the refills are as high quality as the pens. Gel pens can smudge, but Cross dries fast. The color is a dark blue (not blue/black) and it is easy to write with; the pen pretty much glides across the paper. It’s worth it. [...]
